What was he thinking?

DMX has always been known as one of the more hardcore gangster rappers of the 90s, so what happens when he tries to venture off into a different type of rap? Should he be able to do whatever he wants on his records, or should he be sticking to what makes him a great rapper? One thing is for sure, his Twitter fans don’t like it, and boy did they voice their opinions.

 DMX is a 46-year-old rapper from Yonkers, New York, and he’s been in the rap game for quite some time now. You probably know him for songs like “X Gon’ Give It To Ya” or “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem”, but you probably don’t know him from any songs with a trap beat, right?

 DMX is known for having his super brutal lyrics and his harsh realistic attitude. So you can imagine the outcry that happened when the rapper asked for some trap beats on his Twitter account…

The tweet has been deleted since the time that he made it, but it read “Looking for trap beats. Email iamelbarrio@gmail.com.”
He’s looking for business, but we’re not sure he’s going to find any, and if he does, the fans aren’t going to take it lightly. Check out how they responded on Twitter!

To say the least, fans were not excited about DMX’s venture into the trap beat world. People even said things like “Don’t put your career on life support” and “Wtf are you doing.” It’s obvious how they feel about the situation.

However, some fans did come to his defense saying that he should be able to do whatever he wants and rap over whatever he wants, which is true. However, it would still sound weird to hear DMX over a trap beat.
